Last camp weekend
Well there it goes. Summer came, we swam, boated, fished, worked on our tans. We had friends over, went to their houses, and enjoyed a quieter time of year. Then school started, dance started and life got busier. But until we close camp, summer just doesn't feel like it's gone. We tend to sit a little closer to the campfire in September, maybe have some fleece on, but summer is still holding on by a tiny little fingernail that just won't let go. Today we packed up all the food, sealed all the bedding in plastic, pulled in the tipouts and drained the water lines. Ladies and gentlemen, summer has officially left the building. Sigh.....
Don't get me wrong, I love fall and the cool air and pretty trees. I am even really ready to be home most weekends instead of packing and unpacking each week, but it's always a little bit sad when we say goodbye to a season. Of course, fall means that winter is just around the corner-that is not a season I care for. It's just that time is moving so fast. We will be back at camp before we know it. And Paige will be 7 and Katie will be 4.5.
At least we have football now-Go Pats and Nittany Lions! Here's to lazy Sundays by the TV. Or watching TV with your laptop open, as tends to happen at our house!
One last message for today-election is right around the corner. This sums it up for me.
Don't Vote
See you around....
Kristin
