Back into the swing....I think.

Well Girls Weekend has come and gone. When I say every second was perfect, it really was. It even rained the day we went to Epcot (did you know that stands for Experimental Protocol for Community Of Tomorrow?) and downpoured the first half hour or so at Hollywood Studios (FKA MGM). I didn't care. I have tons of pictures to share of me and the lovely ladies because the camera loved us. So does the piano, stage and apparently the floor. No, that was just me. Kari will be happy to note that as Katie was looking at my pictures she said "hey mom, she has cotton candy, just like you!"
And on the way home from dance today Katie said "I think Aunt Betty is at yoga now...".
Allegro Fall Photo shoot images are live! For anyone who is interested....
I will post more soon. Really. I swear. Eventually.
Peace out-
K

long time

Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted. And this isn't going to count for much. I am a bit stressed with work stuff, photos, and packing. Leaving in less than 48 hours and I have SO much to do that I am paralyzed by the thought of it all. So I am sitting here blogging instead of working so I can just get to bed. Does anyone else do this or is it just me? So, no pictures today or for awhile. I hope to return to normal life soon and post more images here, but I can't promise it will be any time soon!
On a quick happy note, I ordered a photo purse through an online company and it will be here Thursday! Great, just as I am leaving... but I am so excited to get it. I am SURE I will show it off to you next time I see you!
OK, it's 10:09, want to go to sleep sometime while it's still today so off I go....
You won't hear from me again until AT LEAST Tuesday!
Just picture me with a Yeung Ling in hand lounging by the pool....Ahhhhhh.

A little behind....

Hee hee hee-check out Kylee-we turned around for a second, and there she was...almost buck-naked in the Garden of the Gods gift shop. She was trying on shirts. And hats. No pants though? Mom and dad-you need a talk with this girl....
Tonight I am catching up on Colorado photos. I haven't touched them since we got back. Yes, that was in June. Correct, it is now October. I have a new system for uploading so it's saving me tons of time. No editing each image, snapshots are now just snapshots and you get what you get (and you don't get upset!). I will be uploading scenics separately, and spending editing time on those though. Doing this has made me realized just how much I miss Rick and Cheryl again. I hate it when good friends move. I need to call them. Katie's face says it all about our trip.

The girls have spent so much time outside this weekend. It's been great. And we capped it off with dinner at our house with my parents and grandma. We grilled some Chef's Warehouse chicken, carrots, steamed some broccoli and roasted potatoes. We finished dinner with blueberry pie, chocolate cakes, ice cream and home made chocolates that Karen and the kids made today. Wait, this is starting to sound like Karen's blog-"Tasting Life, One Flavor at at Time"! Check it out here-http://karentasteslife.blogspot.com/2008/10/falling-into-autumn.html.

So glad to have tomorrow to be home too. I love fall. Have I said that yet?

Look for my Colorado pics on Smugmug-I'll be sure to post when they are ready!

Crazy kids

Mom: Paige, the bottom line is that you have to put that away now....
Katie: Yeah, and the TOP line is that you shouldn't have taken it out in the first place!
Mom: (Trying to hold in laughter) Kate, mind your business....

Oh, the things they say!

Paige is once again the social butterfly in school. Today she had a friend drop in to play for 20 minutes after school. Then, a friend called her to say hello. She's only 6! Glad she has friends.

My friends mean so much to me-and I am so looking forward to our weekend in Disney-leaving 2 weeks from today! Yesterday I bought 2 tickets for Kim and I to attend the 12:45am showing of High School Musical 3 for Friday night! Well OK, it's really Saturday morning! But it's still opening night. How cool is that? We get to see a Disney film on premiere night at Disney World! I know you are jealous..... Why so late? Because we have 8:15 reservations for dinnner at the Japanese steak house in Epcot. Yes-I can hear my parents now, only rich people eat dinner that late. I don't want to be rushed..... Can you tell I'm excited?

I think I'll go start packing. I already have my Florida underwear put aside-just kidding! :)!

Fill 'er up

Had some time to relax with the girls after school today and enjoy this nice weather. I love to watch them ride bikes and stop to "fill up" with gas from the hose!

They are so creative-I hope that lasts forever.

Dance Studio Teaser.....

Well I promised I'd post an image from the fall shoot soon-here is one of my favorites from this shoot so far. Super sweet girl-just look at that smile!

I am hoping to have everything live on my website the last week of October-after I return from girls weekend!
Shooting away...

Last camp weekend

Well there it goes. Summer came, we swam, boated, fished, worked on our tans. We had friends over, went to their houses, and enjoyed a quieter time of year. Then school started, dance started and life got busier. But until we close camp, summer just doesn't feel like it's gone. We tend to sit a little closer to the campfire in September, maybe have some fleece on, but summer is still holding on by a tiny little fingernail that just won't let go. Today we packed up all the food, sealed all the bedding in plastic, pulled in the tipouts and drained the water lines. Ladies and gentlemen, summer has officially left the building. Sigh.....
Don't get me wrong, I love fall and the cool air and pretty trees. I am even really ready to be home most weekends instead of packing and unpacking each week, but it's always a little bit sad when we say goodbye to a season. Of course, fall means that winter is just around the corner-that is not a season I care for. It's just that time is moving so fast. We will be back at camp before we know it. And Paige will be 7 and Katie will be 4.5.
At least we have football now-Go Pats and Nittany Lions! Here's to lazy Sundays by the TV. Or watching TV with your laptop open, as tends to happen at our house!
One last message for today-election is right around the corner. This sums it up for me.
Don't Vote
See you around....

hello again.

Hey there, thanks for checking in. Not too much new to report. Although we did get a new electric bill about a week ago and I am proud to report that we have saved a bundle-$40- from the last one. Now I won't claim that it is all due to my don't-use-the-dryer initiative, as we are also not using the dehumidifier in the basement any more and we haven't really used the air conditioners at all, but I am sure it helped. Score one for green. I love my clothesline-just wish it was bigger. Won't be using it much longer though.
I am really busy right now due to a big project at the dance studio-I am once again taking images of every student in each class-all 47 of them! A huge endeavor, but lots of fun. I am hoping to make enough to eventually get my dream camera, the Nikon D300. With it I will take even better dance pictures and portraits, and maybe then make more money at it, and just let it go from there. Who knows? My D50 has been great, but I think I've outgrown it. It will make a great back up camera someday!
Had a planning meeting for Girls Weekend in Disney last night. Great times. Watch out Orlando, the ladies are coming!
I promise to post more images soon. I will try to get permission from the dancers and post a few teasers here for them....
Have a great Thursday night. I should be watching the debate. Off to do that now.
TTFN-
Kristin
